Hi there!

Thank you to those whoe have been checking out or watching this blog of mine. Ever since I finished off web design at uni, I've been hanging around Tumblr alot, since I was required to make a visual diary on that site for web design).

I've become somewhat adducted to that place now so I've now decided to move my attention over there. I may choose to check in on this blog of mine but.... yeah... .

I love the creator for this. The video is sooooo well put togther and the graphics, BG, is good too. Though, its hillarious, I find that 'clown guy' a bit creepy. But enjoy!

Righteo! I did this a couple of days ago but ..... I was lazy to pull the scanner out. Anyways, I drew this character after being inspired by this cutie from Sekirei.

I'm not particularly interested in this anime but most anime's are bond to have a cute and lovable character, right?

More How to draw Manga books - Sketching Manga style

I own Vol. 1 and 2.

Vol. 1 was my B'day pres.

But I've been longing for Vol.3, Unforgetable characters. YAHOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

They were not easy to track either and Ebay, Amazon and a few other places had them selling at a crazy price since its publisher, Graphic-Sha had stopped prinitng.

Luckly, a new company has licenced this series and its called PAGE ONE.
Still hard to find though. Not until my best friend found out that Kinokunia in Singapore had them in stock and at $37.34 (singapore dollars).

Totally excited, I immediately went and bought them while sending heaps of hugs and kisses to my best friend. They had Vol. 1,2 and 4 as well . Purchasing Vol.3 , I purchased 4 as well.

And now, they have arived today. Flipping through them, the content is great.

Canberra Orchid show

Today marks the opening of Floriade in Canberra but I'm gonna wait a bit till the flowers are in fuller bloom.

Anyways, the Canberra Orchid was on today as well. I sorta mentioned about this in my post on 'Spring is in the air!'.

It was held at St. John's Church hall (?) in Reid.

I took soooooooooooooooooooooooo many pics! Here are some.

There were so many variety of orchids to see and buy.

Cymbidiums proved Popular to buy. They are one of the easiest orchids to look after if your a beginner.

Some of them were also as big as my hand.

There were rare ones as well to see.

Vocaloid! - Ah, it's a wonderful cat life

The song and animation are soooooooooo cute. Just had to share it after comming across it. It features vocals from Len Kagamine and Gumi Megpoid.

I've heard of her but have never had an interest till now. Now I like her! :)

She has quite a voice and her songs are very very interesting, pretty good infact but her songs are somewhat in league with Gumi Megpoid's. The two have even done a song togther, called Beatrice.

The graphics are amazing!

Beatrice is quite a good song and it sorta reminds me, a bit, of the the second op to D.gray-man (Brightdown by Nami Tamaki).

Also, the names of her songs are interesting too. Many of them consiting of a name.

Some song's of Lily's to name include Chloe and Marie Luise. But some other ones in general include Reverse. Error, Capacity and Burning night. They all sound really good!

I've gotten into Vocaloid again! Since there wasn't much new Jp music to listen to.

Anyways, I came across these 'funky' and very catchy songs which were all composed by Wowaka
.
The PV's to the songs arn't all bad but I like the Toosenbo one most.

How'd I do this? Photoshop!
I placed a 'photocopy' filter effect on the original drawing, cleaned the white parts out and then coloured it in with the brush tools. Used Marquee tools to select and isolate areas for easier colouring.

Looks messy! Enjoy anyways!

Spring is in the air!

September. How the year has flown by ~ ah.

Ok, I really should've posted these up on the first day of spring but as you know from me previous posts, it does take me a while to upload the photo's I take.

Anyways, the first day of spring was such a gorgeous day, so I spent the afternoon, after uni classes, taking pics of the flowers around my street and garden.

I just love orchids, these are the queens of the flower world!

Jonquils smell really nice.

 

The plum blossoms down the street were too beautiful! Couldn't resist the urg to take lots of pics. 

These were taken on the first day of spring!

Yukarism

This new Manga, 'Yukarism' is done by Chika Shiomi, artist of Canon (vampire one), Yurara and Rasetsu (sequal to Yurara and I happen to have all 9 volumes. :P).

He looks way to much like Kuriyu from Rasetsu.

Evident enough that I am a fan of her work, Yukarism is a time-crossing based story where you meet a young 17 year old Edo Novelist named Yukari. Though his works are not of talent but from his 'heart' and hazy reoccuring memories, which date way back to the Edo period, that he was born with. One day, he meets a girl who he has never met in the present but from his 'past life' and from there, his memories become more clearer.... and so goes on the story.

I really am enjoying it and I'd really sugest it!

Drawing! - Chibi colouring

I'm not too good at doing CG but am slowly getting it with each time I do it. I find using Flash is easy for me as I started out doing it in Flash, after having bought this 'How to draw Manga : Macromedia Flash Techniques'. I started out maybe 4 years ago but haven't budged to do it often.

These are some coloured chibi examples, and I've used Hibari again.

Did this one purely by hand and in Photoshop! (Gotta remember to do things on layers!!!)

(HE DOESN'T LOOK LIKE HIABRI MUCH AT ALL!)

I'm still trying my best! DX!!!

Drawing! - Chibi pt2

I've still been at it, trying to perfect my chibi drawing skills whenever I get a chance.
It seems like I'am improving but I've still got some ways to go.

I've still been using Hibari from KHR as a guinea pig.

This was a random one. Concept is motorcyclists with light riding gear.

These particular three portray me and some close friends from college. The original is drawn in one of the B'day cards I gave to one of my friends.

Can't wait to see how much more I've improved. : D
