I've heard of her but have never had an interest till now. Now I like her! :)

She has quite a voice and her songs are very very interesting, pretty good infact but her songs are somewhat in league with Gumi Megpoid's. The two have even done a song togther, called Beatrice.

The graphics are amazing!

Beatrice is quite a good song and it sorta reminds me, a bit, of the the second op to D.gray-man (Brightdown by Nami Tamaki).

Also, the names of her songs are interesting too. Many of them consiting of a name.

Some song's of Lily's to name include Chloe and Marie Luise. But some other ones in general include Reverse. Error, Capacity and Burning night. They all sound really good!

Blood-C

My sis watching this and I was really suprised that CLAMP created a new anime. I recall Kobato as a recent one and then came XXXHolic rou but this new one called 'Blood-C' is very interesting. It reminds me of Blood+ or some other anime, which I can't remeber the name to, though but just a bit.

The story is about this girl named Kisaragi Saya who is a very skilled swordslady and is a demon excorcist but by night. During the day, shes's a clutzy yet very positive girl. Her personality along with the other characters in the anime are very reflective on CLAMP's traits and story style.

I look foreward to watching this anime, which has very recently started to air.

I'll admit that I don't have a particular liking for anime with drawings like this! But this particular anime has sorta gotten to me. I even bought badges at SMASH with this anime topic without realising it.

During my weekend at SMASH, I over heard some of my friends talking about this particular anime topic but I was unphased to listen since I still felt like I was on the train (dizzyness).

On my way home (on the bus back to Canberra), I was sitting next to a new friend, I made at SMASH, and she had pulled out her laptop and started watching an anime series which she had downloaded. I couldn't help being drawn to watching it since the ride home was boring. That series turned out to be Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica. 

I assumed that the anime would be are colourful and pretty but no. Its actually fairly dark. I also recall downloading the ed song to it since it was done by Kalifina (a project of Yuki Kadjiura's) but who would've guessed that the OST was done by Yuki Kadjiura too.

Ahhhh.... now I want to try the anime out.

I won't try and explain what its really about since I'm sorta out of right now (like about pass out on the floor) but I'll leave it up to you to read about it on Wiki. Sorry.

Vocaloid - ACUTE & ReACT

I happen to come across these when I was wasting away my time on the net (VERY BAD)!
I sorta got into Vocaloid again since I was looking for more music. I was looking into Gumi Megpoid when I came across ACUTE. Then an hour later, I found out about ReACT.

Ok, ACUTE and ReACT are songs but also very similar sad stories. What suprised my about them was the fact that these two were linked stories, even though they are similar, as ReACT is a sequal or continuation of the story told in ACUTE.

What's the story?

The story, in ACUTE, tells of a tragic conclusion to a muddled love triangle between the (featuring) characters KAITO, Miku Hatsune and Megurine Luka. The Story storta starts off with KAITO being in love Miku. Luka is Miku's best friend. Later on, KAITO sorta realises he loves Luka more than Miku. Miku is upset but can't bring herself to get revenge upon KAITO or Luka since she loves them both, so to escape that pain, she commits suicde, and infront of KAITO and Luka (I think).

I came across ACUTE with this Project Diva ver. of ACUTE. I really like it. Though try reading the comments under this video. You'll find it quite amusing.

The ending to this version is quite different as well, ending with Miku illing KAITO and then herself.

...Story Continued...
Then, in ReACT, it sorta repeats the event in ACUTE but features characters' Rin & Len Kagamine along with Miku again. In ReACT, Miku's attempt at suicide fails so she is depicted in a hospital. She meets Len and they sorta become friendly. Len loves Rin but having met Miku and gotten to know her, Rin becomes a little jealous. Rin is or has also become friends with Miku. Len then realises the he's inlove with Miku mor than Rin, which then leads Rin to 'React' the role that Miku played out in ACUTE. Though the ending is different by having Miku prevent Rin from doing what she did and ends up killing her self (Miku) to keep Rin and Len happy.

Oringinal video to React. The song has a similar tune to ACUTE in the begining but the overall song has a different tone.

Ahhhhh.... so tragic and sad, especially poor Miku being the victim to death.
I've sorta noticed that many stories done by or told in the Vocaloid songs, seem somewhat sad, scary or tragic. hmmmmmm.....!

Vocaloid! - Karakuri 卍 Burst

I'm slowly drifting away from Vocaloid you could say!
But besides that, I had come across this 'theme' whilst looking for pics on Vocaloid. The theme and song is called "Karakuri 卍 Burst", which is very interesting. I think its somewhat sorta historic as the outfits and the "卍" sorta refer to the era in which Hitler was alive. But the video to this song is pretty awsome.

It features Len and Rin Kagamine and the plot, to me, seems like the twins are forced to go against each other and they don't really realize it. They have flash backs which tell how they came to be in such a position (Murder and blood). The flash book shows how they were seperated.
Miku sorta plays a part in the video as well but as the one responsible for splitting the twins apart. Towards the end, they sorta realize that it is 'them' from their flash backs.

Awwwww.... man, I want to see more and the outcome! But I really like the video. Its got some form of romantic aura to it. The lyrics and the song rocks!

The costumes are pretty cool and I especially think len looks really hot, with the eyepatch and all. XD!

Vocaloid! - Piko + Love is War & Magnet

I wasn't expecting to jump back into Vocaloid any time soon but the Piko part of Piko + Love is War will explain!

I'll start with Piko!

I've been listening to a song called "Wasurenagausa" by Piko. The song sounded really good so I decided to do a search on the artist. I first checked out the PV to the song, which was kinda boring. But when I looked over the comments on the song, they mentioned "he" which then got me all kinda confused when the voice and the figure singing in the clip was feminine. But as I took a closer look, especially around the chest (I AM NOT A PERV, I SWEAR), my jaw dropped.

The week before, my best friend had sent me a video on a popular Visual Kei artist who dressed himself in gothic lolita dresses.

Having found out that 'her' voice was 'his', was rather unforseen. But anyone one could easily make that mistake if it was a first time at listening to the artist.
Piko songs such as 'Sakurane' and 'Story' also have a feminine voice but I'll let the gender thing pass as Piko's songs are really really good!

I recall seeing a tag on that image titled 'Love is War', which I thought was just the theme of the pic. But its deeper than that! It also relates to the song 'Love is War', which is sung by various characters of Vocaloid and I think Hatsune Miku was the first to sing it, seeing how popular she is.

This theme of 'Love is War' is depicted as having black monochrome shades + one or very few bright colours along with a planes, air craft and metal structures in the background along with a microphone (in some such as those in the Video clip to the characters singing 'Love is War').

What about Piko + Love is war?

Oh yeah....

I just happend to find out that, besides the suprise with Piko's gender, that Piko and his voice is part of the Vocaloid 2 series and is the version that is apperently the fairly recent one released in December last year (2010). The character's name is Piko Utatane. The image on the pakaging definately reflects up the character's voice! :) Exciting!

After finding out that Piko was part of Vocaloid, I sorta did a search on that and I checked out this video first, which featured 'Love is War' sung by Piko.

Upon listening to 'Love is War', I really liked the song, which then led me to discover the theme of 'Love is War' along with 'Magnet'. I also felt like sharing this new piece of info I found on Vocaloid, despite the fact I'm sorta just getting into Vocaloid, making me a newbe.

The part about Piko being part of the Vocaloid series is thanks to a fact from my best friend.

I think thats one reason as to why I did up this blog....hmmm...?

Vocaloid!

I've heard of it and I've seen the characters around but I haven't really taken an interest in until today when I happened to spot this pic on a friends' photo album (online)!

So what is Vocaloid?

I knew it was a popular music making program from Japan and I even spotted it in Akihabara when I went to Japan. I thought that the characters were to promote the program but it seems that Vocaloid is more than that!

It rings true that Vocaloid is a music making program but it features the 'voices' of the characters and the main idea of the program is to insert, import...etc (imput methods) lyrics and a melody into the Vocaloid program and then a/the song is played along with the character singing. Pretty cool!

Though the program is kinda pricy. When I spotted the program on the shelf, there were a few volumes on the shelf and I assumed that the other volumes were extentions on the program. But actually, they're the same program but with a different character 'voice'.

 The characters?

I believe real music artists in the real world contribute their voices for the characters' voices hence the 3rd example above with the link underneath it that features Megumi Nakajima's voice.

I have also noticed that there seem to be large number of characters to this Vocaloid. But infact, most of those characters are fanmade Vocaloids.

My first informal post and I get to share something! YAY!

I've been into Katekyou Hitman Reborn lately and when I mean lately, I've only just started to take an interest despite the whole series has ended! There is a rumour though going around that there will be another season or series called generation X, so I'm lookin forward to that!
